Allison Delgado
Clinician
Allison Delgado is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who believes therapy extends beyond traditional talk therapy to encompass somatic expression, mindfulness, connection with nature, and the healing of self and relationships. With a background as an environmentalist, yoga practitioner, and dancer, Allison values both traditional and alternative forms of healing that honor each client's unique path to well-being.
Allison's approach centers the client as the expert of their own experience, empowering them to be full participants in their growth and healing. She works from a Narrative framework infused with Feminist and Social Justice ideologies, incorporating AEDP, Somatic practices, and Mindfulness-Based approaches. Her seven years of yoga practice deeply influence her therapeutic work, recognizing that healing comes in many forms, traditions, and ways of being.
Allison provides trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming care and is passionate about accessible, equitable mental health services. She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups navigating alternative relationship structures, power dynamics, identity exploration, and experiences outside dominant cultural narratives. Allison is particularly interested in the intersections of therapy and existentialism, social constructionist theories, Eastern traditions, human sexuality, politics, and spirituality.
Beyond her clinical work, Allison loves to dance, sing, ocean swim with her group of mermaids (all genders welcome), and spend time with family and friends. She feels fortunate to work alongside others who are equally devoted to healing, changing, and growing with their communities.
Allison is supervised by Shiva Howell, LMFT 129944.
